SIA Secretary/Treasurer

Sue Riney

As secretary/treasurer, Riney participates in strategic planning and program development for the organization to increase its collective impact in helping women and girls around the world to achieve their full potential. In addition, she will work with Soroptimist’s professional staff to oversee the organization’s financial practices and accounts.

Riney is a member of Soroptimist International of Oak Harbor, one of 1,200 Soroptimist clubs throughout the world. A member since 1996, she has held several leadership positions, including 2015-2016 SIA secretary/treasurer, SIA board member, fundraising council member, region governor and treasurer, district director and secretary, and club president.  

Riney retired after 40 years as a Vice President/Project Manager for Wells Fargo Bank. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Recreation and Park Management from Western Washington University. In addition to her Soroptimist involvement, she is involved in Whidbey Presbyterian Church and Whidbey Playhouse.
