Sue Riney

Sue Riney of SI/Oak Harbor, WA (Northwestern Region), is currently serving a one-year term as president of the Soroptimist International of the Americas, Inc.® (SIA) Board of Directors.In this role, Sue will guide the board in shaping the organization’s vision, overseeing its financial and strategic direction, and leading efforts to amplify Soroptimist’s global impact in empowering women and girls to achieve their full potential through access to education.

A member since 1996, Sue has held several leadership positions, including Soroptimist International (SI) public relations liaison, SIA board president-elect, SIA board secretary/treasurer, convention co-chair, region governor and club president.

Sue retired after 40 years as a vice president/project manager for Wells Fargo Bank. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in recreation and park management from Western Washington University. In addition to her active role in Soroptimist, she also participates in Whidbey Presbyterian Church and Whidbey Playhouse.
