SIA is thrilled to announce Nobel Laureate Malala Yousafzai as our keynote speaker for our 2022 Convention on Friday, July 22, and Saturday, July 23. Malala will speak that Friday.

Things to Know

  • After thoughtful consideration of the status of the COVID-19 global pandemic, SIA’s Board of Directors has decided to hold the 2022 convention virtually.
  • January 24 is UN International Day of Education, which focuses on providing quality and equal education to everyone.
  • As a reminder, Soroptimist clubs must file a COVID-19 risk mitigation declaration form for any face-to-face club activity where non-members will be in attendance. Read more.

SIA to Host SI Convention in 2027

We are excited to announce Soroptimist International of the Americas (SIA) will be hosting the Soroptimist International (SI) Convention in 2027! Held every four years, the SI Convention brings together speakers and members from Soroptimist’s five federations from countries and territories around the globe. We are in the very early stages of planning this event, which includes determining the location. Look for more information later this year!

Diane has been a Soroptimist for 40 years, during which time she’s held a number of leadership positions and is proud to now serve as Dream Big Campaign Chair. In this interview, Diane shares inspiring memories from her time as a Soroptimist as well as her vision for our future.

Live Your Dream Awards

Club reporting deadlines are around the corner! Clubs must use the club transmittal to report their club-level recipients to the district by February 1 (if applicable) and to the region by February 15. Make sure you notify all applicants of their status, and remember, all awards must be cash awards given directly to the recipient, unless she requests otherwise!
