Soroptimist® Announces Jackie Schrauger as New Program Director

Will help increase impact of global organization’s Dream Programs

Philadelphia, PA —Soroptimist International of the Americas, Inc.®, a global volunteer organization that economically improves the lives of women and girls by providing access to education, welcomes Jackie Schrauger as its new program director.

In this position, Schrauger will develop program materials and resources to support the Soroptimist Dream Programs: The Live Your Dream Awards and Dream It, Be It. These programs ensure women and girls have access to the education and training they need to reach their full potential.

“I’m so excited to work at Soroptimist because of the strong commitment to women and girls around the world,” stated Schrauger. “Soroptimist is an organization with big goals and vision, and I’m excited to play a role in expanding our reach.”

Prior to Soroptimist, Schrauger served as program director at Career Wardrobe, a nonprofit social enterprise that provides clothing and professional development to unemployed individuals seeking employment. Her career also includes working as the program director for Food Moxie, which educates and inspires people to grow, prepare, and eat healthy food. She has also worked as a secondary social studies teacher and dean of students.

Schrauger holds a bachelor of arts degree with a major in government from Smith College in Massachusetts, and a master of science in nonprofit leadership from the University of Pennsylvania. She also earned a certificate in ascending nonprofit leadership from Bryn Mawr College.
