Portion of Heartland sales to assist women and girls on their quest
to live their dreams

Philadelphia–Soroptimist International of the Americas, an international volunteer organization for business and professional women, has announced a partnership with Heartland Sweeteners, LLC. As part of the relationship, Heartland will donate a portion of its sales of Ideal® no-calorie sweetener to Soroptimist programs. The company is also providing financial support for Soroptimist’s convention in San Francisco, California, this July.

“It’s a natural relationship for both organizations. We’re both about helping women live healthier, more productive lives,” explains Mike Servie, Heartland’s president. “We’re delighted to give back to local communities touched by Soroptimist.”

The partnership includes a special discount coupon. For every coupon redeemed, Soroptimist will receive a $.25 royalty, which will be used to support programs that improve the lives of women and girls, locally and around the world.

The donations will go to programs such as the Soroptimist Women’s Opportunity Awards, which assist women who provide the primary source of financial support for their families by giving them the resources they need to improve their education, skills, and employment prospects. Recipients, many of whom have overcome enormous obstacles including poverty, domestic violence, and drug and alcohol abuse, may use the cash grants to offset any costs associated with their efforts to attain higher education, such as books, childcare and transportation.
