Best for Women Receives Bronze Award in Association TRENDS 2010 All-Media Contest

PHILADELPHIA, Pa.—Soroptimist International of the Americas has been honored with a Bronze Award in the Quarterly Publication Category in the Association TRENDS’ 2010 All-Media Contest. Best for Women magazine was one of more than 470 entries in the association publications contest.
Best for Women serves as Soroptimist’s official publication and the primary communication vehicle for members.
“We are very proud of our publication and are so pleased to be in the winners’ circle this year,” said Soroptimist’s Executive Director Leigh Wintz. “Not only does Best for Women magazine serve as a member benefit, but it showcases what Soroptimist truly embodies—an organization committed to empowering women.”
The magazine includes feature stories about women’s issues and Soroptimist programs; updates on Soroptimist efforts; and recognition of Soroptimist accomplishments. Recent feature articles have focused on women and disasters, breast cancer, and assisted reproductive technology. The magazine has been published continuously in various forms since 1931.
The TRENDS All-Media Contest is an annual competition held exclusively for associations, recognizing the most creative and effective communication vehicles developed in the industry over the prior year. The 2010 competition included more than 470 entries in 27 categories of association communications.
