NEWS RELEASE: New Online, Technology-Based Volunteer Network Receives 2012 MarCom Award helps women and girls improve their lives

Philadelphia, PA—, a new online, technology-based volunteer community that empowers offline action to help women and girls reach their potential, received the 2012 MarCom Gold Award in the “Nonprofit Web Based Media” category.

The MarCom Awards is an international creative competition that recognizes outstanding achievement by marketing and communication professionals. MarCom Awards is administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals. The international organization consists of several thousand creative professionals. The Association oversees awards and recognition programs, provides judges and rewards outstanding achievement and service to the profession. is powered by Soroptimist International of the Americas, an international women’s organization whose members work to improve socio-economic conditions for women and girls.

No matter what you do, when you become involved in, you support life-changing programs and causes for women and girls.”
