Results of 2010-2012 Board of Directors Elections


Belkis Tavolaro Rajabally, SI of Santos, Brazil; Masako Sakashita, SI of Miyazaki, Japan; Euisook Choi, SI of Ulsan, Korea; Cheri Fleming, SI of Santa Clarita Valley, California; Connie Desko, SI of Greater Fort Lauderdale, Florida; Joan Merritt, SI of Willimantic, Connecticut; and Carene Davis-Stitt, SI of Eugene, Oregon have been elected as members of the Soroptimist International of the Americas Board of Directors, and will assume that office on September 1, 2010, and will serve in that position through August 31, 2012.

No candidates in Electoral Area 1-Brazil Region and Electoral Area 9-Camino Real, Desert Coast, and Golden West Regions received a majority of the votes cast. In accordance with Federation Procedures, a reballot between the two candidates with the most votes will take place in Electoral Area 1 and Electoral Area 9. Ballots will be sent to clubs in good standing on January 13, 2010, and must be received at Headquarters by March 16, 2010.

Ballots in all electoral areas were mailed from headquarters on November 6, 2009, with a deadline of return to headquarters on January 7, 2010.
