How Your Influencer Marketing Can Support the Dream Big Campaign

While it’s easy to get enamored with large or even mid-sized influencers, like Christine Baranski, smaller local influencers actually wield just as much clout. Think local bloggers, shop owners, politicians, and other individuals with large social media followings. It is through their word of mouth that our Dream Big Campaign can reach new audience pools and drive more impact.

Make a List of Local Influencers

One of the easiest ways to find local influencers is to scan your own social platforms like Instagram and Twitter, and you might be surprised to see that some local or micro-influencers are already following you. Next, add local politicians, businesses, community leaders, and other influential people and places to your list. 

Get Yourself on Their Radar

If you can, try and follow your potential influencers on social media to make them aware of you. Leave meaningful comments on their posts, and if you like them, share them.

Draft a Win-Win Proposal

Now you’ll need to draft a short pitch to share with the local influencers to see if they may be interested in collaborating with you. The pitch should include a brief introduction of yourself, Soroptimist, and information about our Big Goal and Dream Big Campaign. Finally, end the proposal with a call-to-action and ask them for a good time to talk about the opportunity in detail.

Follow Up

Remember, if a potential influencer does not get back to you right away, it doesn’t mean they don’t want to support our mission. Wait a few days and send a follow-up email.

Get Them to Be Brand Advocates

Once you have secured their time, sweep them away with stories about all the great work your club does to help women and girls locally and globally. Let them know how much their public support of the Dream Big Campaign will mean to the women and girls we serve.
