Gaining Cooperation from Others

Here are some people skills that will help you gain cooperation from others:

1. Acknowledge the importance of other people. This is the surest way to engender loyalty and cooperation.
2. Show enthusiasm and energy. Positivity is contagious.
3.  Encourage and facilitate two-way conversation, and ask for other opinions. People are invested when they feel a part of the process.
4.  Ask questions instead of giving orders. Communicate what is expected but let people figure out their own way of doing things.
5. Show sincere gratitude and give compliments freely.Saying thank you and signaling appreciation goes a long way toward fostering cooperation and inspiring people to want to do more.
