Developing women as leaders is critical to solving many of the world's most
intractable problems, and is a core value for Soroptimist. The Soroptimist
Women's Leadership Institute is designed to help women develop and refine
their personal and professional leadership skills. The program is developed
around four pillars: Leading Change, Leading People, Leading
Collaboratively, and Leading Strategically. The first Institute was held in
Chicago in July 2009. Click here to read highlights.
Soroptimist's upcoming convention in San Francisco this July will feature
a special leadership development track. Attendees will have the opportunity to go to six leadership workshops and earn a certificate. The track is free to Soroptimist members registered for convention.
The second full Institute will be held in
Hawaii in the summer of 2011.
